Chewuch Diversion Renovation

Phase 2: Site Restoration (Spring, 2009)

MSRF and its partners will design and implement a bank replanting program to re-establish a native plant community along this stretch of the river affected by the work required to maintain and repair the dam. With the improved diversion structure now completed, we look forward to restoring this stretch of the Chewuch’s banks with plantings of native grasses, shrubs, and trees. Restoring plantings will also improve habitat, not only for salmon, but for native birds, beaver, otters, bear, deer, and other animals.
