Eightmile Creek Acclimation Ponds/Supplement Summer Steelhead

This project provides an acclimation pond for endangered summer steelhead trout utilizing "nature's rearing" protocols to supplement native populations in Eightmile Creek and the Chewuch River.

The conversion included drilling ground water wells, pump systems, wheel line irrigation systems, and fill stations for fire fighting equipments when the site is converted to a seasonal fire camp. The project was completed in July of 2003.
